Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 11 (ANI): Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais has approved the state government’s proposal for the Wainganga-Nalganga River linking project of Vidarbha on Wednesday.
“Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais has accorded in-principle approval to the state government’s proposal of Wainganga-Nalganga River linking project of Vidarbha,” reads the official letter.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis thanked the Governor for the approval of this nearly Rs 80,000 crore project.
In a post on X, Devendra Fadnavis said, “On 9th July, I had a meeting with Governor Ramesh Bais ji. Today he has approved the proposal. I am very grateful to him. This project of around 80,000 crores will change the picture of irrigation in Vidarbha. Our grand coalition government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, stands firmly behind the farmers.” (ANI)
